Unilever Sri Lanka won the Award for ‘People Development’ at the IPM National HR Excellence Awards held recently. This was one of the only three prestigious category awards to be presented during the ceremony.
Commenting on the achievement, Unilever Sri Lanka Director HR and Corporate Relations Udayan Dutt said: “I am delighted that our people philosophy in action brought about this fantastic win for us. Receiving this award is extremely heartening and stands testimony to the commitment to and the value we place on our employees. We consistently strive to reward our employees for their dedication and commitment to the company whilst providing the best corporate exposure along with global best practices.”
He added: “At Unilever we celebrate the diversity of people, and respect people for who they are and what they bring. A pioneering spirit created the company and still drives it as a business. It gives Unilever the passion for winning and for creating a better future.”
Earlier this year Unilever Sri Lanka also emerged as the No. 1 Employer across all industries and companies, in a nation-wide survey conducted by AC Nielsen. Unilever is a company with attractive benefits, culture, and opportunities, but also as an organisation true to its values of integrity, respect, pioneering, and responsibility, and committed to making sustainable living commonplace.
