Union Assurance wins Gold again

Union Assurance, one of Sri Lanka’s largest insurance solutions providers, offering a wide range of tailor made insurance products and services to the local market clinched the Gold award for people development in Category 1 at the award ceremony organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development (SLITAD). The event was held at Hotel Galadari on 20 November where 23 companies were recognised for people development in three distinct categories. Governor of Central Bank Ajith Nivard Cabraal was the Chief Guest.

The company provides unique training and development opportunities for staff at all levels in a structured manner and clinched the Gold award for the second successive year at this event. Each of the companies were assessed based on a 10-criterion framework, which looked at the People Management Strategies – including the promotion of equal opportunities in people development; and its Leadership and Management Strategies – such as the organisation’s capability to allow managers to lead, manage, and develop people effectively.
