Det Norske Veritas (DNV) in partnership with Smart Media The Annual Report Company and UNGC has organised a Workshop on Sustainability Management and Reporting on Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4. The workshop will be held at the Union Ballroom, Hilton Residence (formerly JAIC Hilton), on 22 and 23 October 2013 from 9:30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
GRI is the most widely accepted and used framework for Sustainability Reporting. Corporates as well as non-profit institutions are encouraged to use this framework as it facilitates effective identification of material issues, risk and opportunities and enhance stakeholder enagagement procesess and communications on economic and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) performance. Enterprises are increasingly gaining value by effectively disclosing their sustainability performance using GRI guidelines.
The aim of this workshop is to create awareness and share information on the concept of Sutainability/Economic, Social and Governance (ESG) and new aspects/trends required to enhance the effectiveness of reporting on the GRI G4 guidelines. This will enable enterprises to create a sustainability management system and a communications framework in accordance with international guidelines and standards.
The workshop is ideal for organisations currently looking at improvements in annual reports and those with little or no sustainability reporting experience. Participants will learn the context and drivers of sustainability management and reporting practices, understand GRI G4 and related frameworks and transition from GRI 3.0/3.1 to GRI G 4. The workshop will also cover key steps in business reponsibility and sustainability management and provide an insight on intergrated reporting.
The workshop is meant for officers, executives and managers invoved in Sustanability, Corporate Communications and Marketing, Investor Relations Practitioners, Sustainablity Assurance Consultants and any professional seeking training on GRI Reporting.
