Italy, consumer confidence down in September at least from July 2008 - ISTAT

ROME (Reuters) - In September, the index of consumer confidence fell to its lowest level since July 2008.

According to figures released by Istat, the index fell to 98.5 from 100.3 in August, in line with the estimates obtained by Reuters among economists.

The decline was widespread on all components, is more marked for the current economic climate, whose index decreases from 70 to 67.8. Reliance on the personal situation falls from 116.2 to 114.4.
