Telegraph Nepal:  The Unified Maoists Party will not take part in the election held by Nepali Congress led government.

Things now have begun moving in the “desired” 12 point direction.

Addressing a regular press meet at the party headquarters in Kathmandu, September 22, 2012, the party spokesperson Agni Sapkota said, “If we allow Congress to assume the post of the prime minister, this will cause political imbalance since President also belongs to the Nepali Congress. We are of the view that Prime Minister should be from a different party as the President comes from Nepali Congress.”

“The idea is to capture the state”, Sapkota made a brilliant remark.

He in an indirect manner claimed that Nepali Congress will not be allowed to lead the government.

“The situation of the country has become such that our party has been forced to forward its claim over the election government”, said Sapkota and added, “We will nevertheless continue to hold talks with other parties to search for an amicable solution.”

Sapkota also urged general public to come to the streets pressurizing political parties to forge consensus.
