3SG Corporation (Pvt) Ltd. is launching Hyland Software’s award-winning OnBase in Sri Lanka, aimed at providing business solutions, increasing cost savings and reducing environmental impact through document management and Enterprise Content Management (ECM).
Simply put, OnBase strives to eliminate a company’s reliance on paper in order to run a more efficient and ecologically responsible operation. Speaking on the expansion, 3SG’s Country Manager Buddhin Gunasekara said: “It was natural after OnBase’s success in the US.”
That’s putting it modestly — 3SG connects OnBase, which is one of largest and fastest-growing ECM services in the world, with over 10,200 companies worldwide, including names as big as BMW, Fujitsu, and Goldman-Sachs, not to mention its use by US Government agencies at both the state and federal levels.
ECM can take any content, whether it be paper, audio, or video, and not only give it a digital form (removing the need for physical storage space) but also help store and move the files electronically, enabling convenient recall and work-flow.
3SG has been doing business since 2001 in the US, both with the Government and private sectors. In 2007 it partnered with Hyland Software, whose product OnBase is its singular focus.
“We are pleased to offer the OnBase solution to improve efficiency and enhance the competitiveness of Sri Lankan companies. With this proven solution, 3SG Corporation will be able to leverage the expertise that Hyland Software has developed over 20 years with over 10,000 customers in diverse industries, including insurance, financial services, manufacturing and the Government sector,” said 3SG CEO Ishreth Sameem. “We are ready to implement OnBase in Sri Lanka.”
Aside from the business solutions and file-management offered by OnBoard, it is also an attractive piece of software for businesses looking to go green.
“Trees, landfill space, water, energy, would be saved” said Hyland Software’s International Account Manager APAC/ME Richard Anter.
Not only does his company’s software reduce the amount of paper needed, but it also reduces the energy society spends producing the paper in the first place. Furthermore, it frees up valuable real estate businesses spend on bulky boxes, file cabinets, and warehouses.
Another selling point is the software’s application in diverse markets as well as its ability to adapt to specific company’s needs. Highland Software has 230 partners worldwide that help offer individualised local support and service.
