99X Technology takes Gold in ICT services at the NBE Awards

The prestigious ninth National Business Excellence Awards (NBEA) 2012 organised by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) was held on 4 December at Colombo Hilton, aimed at recognising the Sri Lankan businesses, that contributed to social economic development in various business areas. 99X Technology, formerly known as Eurocentre DDC, won the Gold award in the ICT services category.

The distinguished panel of judges at the NBE Awards were Director of Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) Professor Uditha Liyanage, resident representative of International Monetary Fund Dr. Koshy Mathai, Japan Lanka Industrial Development Centre Chairman Mr. Nihal Abeysekera, Capital Trust Securities Group Chairman M.R. Prelis, President Society of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka Professor Lakshman R. Watawala and Precedent Partner of Nithya Partners Aritha Wikramanayake.

This award recognises the contribution made by 99X Technology to the growth and thought leadership of Sri Lanka’s IT/BPO industry which is to be one of the largest revenue earners for the country by 2015. This reaffirms the company’s continuous stride to make quality as their key differentiator in the software export market.

The company also had the honour of becoming the first ever Software company in Sri Lanka to win the Arch of Europe award for Quality and Technology in Frankfurt, Germany.
