99X Technology wins Gold at 20th NCE Export Awards

99X Technology, formerly known as Eurocenter DDC, was recognised as the Outstanding Exporter in 2011 in the Gold Category for the Export of Business and Professional Services Sector at the 20th NCE Export Awards, which was held on 21 September at Hilton, Colombo. The award benchmarks 99X Technology as an innovative thought leader in the ICT landscape.  



Initiated in 1993, by the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka, the NCE Export Awards is one of the most awaited and high profile events in the Sri Lankan business calendar. It recognises excellence within the local export sector, and has set the benchmark for numerous other awarding schemes in Sri Lanka. The Awards recognises innovative advancements and excellence in the export industry under the three export areas – products, business and professional services and service providers to exporters.

This year’s esteemed judging panel at the Export Awards included Eardley Perera, Professor Uditha Liyanage, Ganaka Amarasinghe, Hayleys Agricultural Holdings Ltd. Managing Director Rizvie Zaheed, Sri Lanka Tea Board Director General H. D. Hemaratne, Sri Lanka Customs Director of Passenger Services M. Puviharan, Central Bank Deputy Director of Economic Research C. A. Abeysinghe, Commercial Bank Executive Director/COO Jegan Durairatnam and Sri Lanka Standards Institute Deputy Director General Dr. P. Talgaswatte.  

The other Gold Award winner from the IT/BPO industry was Virtusa Corporation in the Extra Large segment. The Silver Award winner was AMBA research and, Hello Corp won the Bronze in the Small category respectively.
