AIS now ‘smart’ with EWIS Smart Classroom Solution

• Stage 1 of the project – 11 classrooms, digitalised with EWIS Smart Classroom Solution
• One of the first international schools to use digital technology for teaching

The revolutionary interactive based education methodology has now enthralled AIS, with the launch of smart classrooms. 

The EWIS smart classroom solution was launched at Asian International School recently with pomp and flair. A total of 11 classrooms were transformed by the school which included all Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8, the Audio-Visual Room and the Art Room – giving students of AIS the opportunity to learn daily programs the ‘fun’ way using state-of-the-art interactive board coupled with most current interactive educational software.

This all new Smart Interactive Display, which is the foundation of smart classrooms, was installed and facilitated by E-W Information Systems Ltd., a pioneer within Sri Lanka’s ICT industry. This Smart Interactive Display is said to be able to co-exist with the traditional whiteboard or blackboard, transforming the way teachers educate students in a classroom in addition to providing a better and more interactive, learning experience for the students.

The EWIS Smart Interactive Display combines the features of a Smart Television and a Computer. The main features include the 10 Finger Multi Point Touch Facility, with a superior resolution which has the capacity to even play Ultra High Definition videos and multiple ports which can be utilised to connect external displays or storage devices. Based on the customer preference; the device can be provided in three screen sizes (65”, 75” and 85”).
