Airtel bridges digital divide in Ratnapura; completes another tower under ‘Gamata Sanniwedanaya’

Supporting the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission’s (TRCSL) ‘Gamata Sanniwedanaya’ initiative to create a digitally inclusive Sri Lanka, Airtel Lanka announced the completion of another tower in Welekumbura, Ratnapura. The newly-commissioned 4G tower will for the first time enable true mobility, improved speeds, indoor coverage and latency. This will translate into an optimised, reliable 4G experience for a total population in the region of 33,737, leveraging on Airtel’s drastically improved, world-class 4G network coverage.
