Sri Lanka’s Arjuna Herath has been appointed to the Advisory Board of the Global Digital Asset and Cryptocurrency Association.
The move was announced by Advisory Board Chair James C. Knox.
Herath is a Board Member of the Colombo Stock Exchange and Former Commissioner of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka and Senior Partner of Ernst and Young, Sri Lanka and Maldives.
Other new members include International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) Board Former Vice Chairman, IOSCO Growth and Emerging Markets Committee (GEMC) Former Chairman, and UAE Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) Former CEO Obaid Al-Zaabi; Monica Singer, South Africa Lead for ConsenSys and South Africa’s Central Securities Depository (CSD) Former CEO, Strate Ltd. Arjuna Herath; Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Former Chairman Scott Gordon; Guidehouse Financial Services Segment and Global Legislative and Regulatory Risk Lead Alma Angotti; Partner at Oliver Wyman – Digital and Banking Practices (Americas) Adam Schneider; Founder of AllianceBlock and Founder of ‘The 200 Billion Club’ Amber Ghaddar, which aims to add £ 200 billion to the UK economy by financing women led start-ups; and AllianceDAO Head DAO Architect Dane Lund, which is the global premier Web3 accelerator and community of Web3 founders, investors, and thought leaders.

It was established to guide the evolution of digital assets, cryptocurrencies, and the underlying blockchain technology within a regulatory framework designed to build public trust, foster market integrity, and maximise economic opportunity for all participants. Its broad-based membership includes exchanges, proprietary trading firms, traders, investors, asset managers, brokerage firms, FCMs, custodians, decentralised technology organisations, banks, legal firms, audit firms, insurance professionals, academics, consultants, and media.
