Axiata Digital Labs signs on as Exclusive Innovation Partner of 40th National IT Conference

Axiata Digital Labs has announced that it has entered into a partnership with the Computer Society of Sri Lanka to sponsor the 40th National Information Technology Conference (NITC) and Digital Investment Summit 2022 as the Exclusive Innovation Partner. 

As one of Asia’s fastest growing and most innovative software and IT service providers, Axiata Digital Labs is a longstanding partner of the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL), the apex body representing Information and Communications Technology (ICT) professionals in Sri Lanka. 

The National Information Technology Conference (NITC) is an annual flagship event bringing together the IT professionals, experts and enthusiasts and is to be held on 12 and 13 October at the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo. This year’s conference is set to feature over 30 foreign and local prominent speakers together with 1,000 plus ICT professionals to discuss the latest trends in Information and Communication Technology and how the local IT businesses can adapt to these trends while looking at the global giants applying these trends to the global IT industry. CSSL Colloquium is featured for the third time and it is aimed at fostering and promoting ICT research in Sri Lanka.

The 40th anniversary edition of NITC has a special feature, NITC 2022 Digital Investment Summit which is organised in collaboration with key industry stakeholders, Ministry of Technology, Ministry of Foreign Affair, Ministry of Tourism, ICTA, BOI, FITIS, SLASSCOM, BCS, CFA, EDB, SLA SLTDA, Sri Lanka Conventions Bureau and, SLT-Mobitel.

At this year’s conference, the Sri Lanka ICT fraternity will deliberate these aspects along with several global experts on these topics over a period of two days,” said Hettihewa.

Commenting on the Inaugural Digital Investment Summit, Hettihewa further said, “All ICT industry stakeholders are synergising efforts to boost the business confidence and we strongly believe that National IT Conference and Digital Investment Summit 2022 can be leveraged for Economic Resurgence of our country. NITC Digital Investment Summit is a matchmaking platform for startup companies and Mature ICT Companies with Unicorn ($ 1 billion market value) potential to pitch at the summit to seek investments for their next phase of growth and global expansion from local and foreign investor prospects.”

The 40th National Information Technology is organised under the leadership of CSSL President Damith Hettihewa. The Conference Chair is Heshan Karunaratne while Dr. Ajantha Atukorale, Professor Chandimal Jayawardene and Dr. Adeesha Wijayasiri are spearheading the academic track and colloquium of the conference.
