The Asia Group (TAG), in partnership with The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Secretariat will hold the inaugural ceremony of the BIMSTEC Digital Conclave 2025 on tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. at Taj Samudra, Colombo.
Supported by leading technical and developmental multilateral institutions, this conference is dedicated to “building digital public infrastructure for shared prosperity.”
TAG and the BIMSTEC Secretariat are dedicated to fostering inclusive growth, enhancing digital connectivity, and strengthening the regional economy. The conference will serve as a platform for sharing Indian experiences in DPI, knowledge sharing among BIMSTEC States, and exploring innovative partnerships that can amplify the impact of these initiatives.
In line with the BIMSTEC Secretariat’s agenda for shared prosperity, the private event will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders to collaborate on digital development priorities, such as social and financial inclusion, digital payments, digital health, SME digital transformation, business processes, and digital governance.
To inaugurate the comprehensive and multifaceted discussion we will be joined by an eminent member from the Government of Sri Lanka, including Digital Economy Deputy Minister Eng. Eranga Weeraratne, as well as senior Government stakeholders, policymakers, key private sector figures, and influential civil society voices from the BIMSTEC states. We will also be joined by delegates from all the seven BIMSTEC States, including senior secretaries and joint secretaries from key ministries.
