To help professionals and students learn about the issues and opportunities in finance and accounting, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in Sri Lanka and SLASSCOM (Sri Lanka Association of Software and Service Companies) are hosting an event themed ‘The future of F & A in the BPM industry’, on Wednesday, 7 July, at 4:30 p.m. (IST) via Zoom.
The world around us is rapidly changing, and so are outsourcing trends in finance and accounting (F&A). Economic, demographic, regulatory and technical forces are driving a transition unlike any other in the global corporate environment. In these turbulent times, being nimble has never been more crucial. F & A’s role in the future is predicted to go beyond financial controls and compliance to become a strategic contributor to organisational outcomes.
The event will unpack best practices, trends the future of F&A and what roles are emerging for the current generation entering the workforce. It will be centred on a panel discussion featuring Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA and CIMA) Director Finance – Global Business Services Nilushika Alwis, ACMA, CGMA, London Stock Exchange Head of Shared Services Centre Sri Lanka, SLASSCOM General Council member Arjuna Nanayakkara, WNS Group Manager – Operations Shumela Perera, and will be moderated by Infomate Ltd. Chief Executive Officer and SLASSCOM Vice Chairman Jehan Perinpanayagam.
This event is part of the MoU signed by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Sri Lanka Association of Software and Service Companies (SLASSCOM) to collaborate on joint events and continuous professional development training to enhance the skills and knowledge of their respective members.
