CIMA webinar on data analytics and visualisation

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in Sri Lanka will hold a CPD webinar on 1 March at 4 p.m., to enable participants to get practical guidance on how to implement data analytics and visualisation techniques in their organisation.

CIMA said this webinar will be valuable to anyone who needs to understand the benefits of digital transformation. Participants will learn about the overall data analytics landscape and why we need to be data-driven, the main barriers of getting data right and what is meant by right data. They will learn to use Excel to structure data sets effectively, which will be followed by an introduction to Power BI to visualise data. Participants will also understand the importance of storytelling with the data they have at hand and more.

MAS Holdings Lead Data Evangelist Chathuranga Abeysinghe will lead this webinar. He is an Associate Member of CIMA and obtained his BSc. Finance (Special) from University of Sri Jayewardenepura Sri Lanka. He has eight years of industry experience in finance, operations and IT with a pivotal shift in his career to the domain of Data in 2013. He successfully established the talent analytics function in a leading Sri Lankan multinational and now Leads the Data Science team as the Lead Data Evangelist at MAS Holdings.
