The Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL), the premier organisation dedicated to promoting and improving professional standards in the Information Communication and Technology (ICT) sector in Sri Lanka held its annual CSSL National ICT Awards 2019, ceremony for the seventh consecutive year recently alongside the National Information Technology Conference (NITC) under the patronage of Ajith P. Perera, former Minister of Digital Infrastructure and Information Technology.
CSSL National ICT Awards is conducted with the view of recognising and motivating the best and the finest of ICT Professionals who are making immense contributions towards the upliftment of the ICT industry in Sri Lanka. The final selections were made by an eminent panel of professionals representing the ICT industry as well as the academia.
Being the only long-standing professional organisation in the Information Communication and Technology sector, CSSL National ICT awards comprised fine key categories, namely Information Security Awards, IT Service Management Awards, Start-up Awards, CSSL Student Category, and CSSL Elite awards.
This magnanimous task was chaired by Dr. Parakum Pathirana, Assistant Treasurer of the Executive Council of CSSL, under the leadership and guidance of Prabath S. Wickramaratne, the President of Computer Society of Sri Lanka. The eminent panel of judges of National CSSL ICT awards 2019 comprised of key industry practitioners and members from the academia.

Perera, CSSL IT Service Professional of the Year –Thilan Jayathilake, CSSL Best IoT Startup of the Year – Effective Solutions Ltd., CSSL Best Business Automation Startup of the Year – Potenza Ltd., CSSL Best AI Startup of the Year – ConscientAI Labs Ltd., CSSL Best EdTec Startup of the Year – IgniterSpace Ltd., CSSL Best Social Innovation of the Year – Kubeira IT Park Ltd., CSSL Best Startup Ecosystem Initiative of the Year – ICT Agency of Sri Lanka – Disrupt Asia, CSSL Best Startup Ecosystem Initiative of the Year – ICT Agency of Sri Lanka – Spiralation. CSSL National ICT Awards is gathering the momentum and getting increasingly popular every year. The number of awards categories, especially in order to recognise startups and digital innovation assisted to recognise highly capable and successful individuals and organisations in the country.
