Ceylon Chamber facilitates joint collaboration in digital solutions and IT in Lithuania

With IT and digital solutions continuing to be at the fore of a continually and rapidly evolving global wave of digital economy, communication and connectivity, the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in association with the Embassy of Lithuania in New Delhi, recently hosted a webinar facilitating opportunities for joint collaboration in the digital solutions and IT sectors, with Lithuania.  

Attended by Ambassador for Lithuania in India Julius Pranevičvius, Ceylon Chamber CEO Manjula de Silva and Republic of Lithuania in Sri Lanka Honorary Consul R.M. Manivannan, the Lithuanian delegation also comprised representatives of high profile companies from the digital solutions and IT sectors in Lithuania. 

Stating that Lithuanian IT companies have developed a significant amount of innovative public sector and corporate digital solutions and is among the countries with the best digital infrastructure, Ambassador Pranevičvius invited Sri Lankan companies to take advantage of Lithuania’s burgeoning fintech industry and attractive investment opportunities in order to collaborate and build next generation digital IT solutions. 

The B2B meetings that followed the webinar enabled Sri Lankan companies in the corresponding industry sectors to connect with and explore the potential for collaboration with Lithuanian companies in order to build transformative technological and digital solutions tools. 

Among the Lithuanian delegates companies were able to connect with were Mindaugas Ubartas – CEO, Infobalt, the national representative of the Lithuanian ICT sector and Laura Guobužaite – Head of Export and Market Development/Head of ‘Fintech Lithuania’, INFOBALT, who provided further information on the investment opportunities for joint collaboration in the Lithuania’s ICT industry. 

Liudas Kanapienis, CEO of Ondato and one of Lithuania’s most prolific fintech personalities and the architect of Lithuania’s first fintech business development, Paysera, provided further insights on the fintech industry and building globally relevant digital producs, to webinar 

participants.
