Cementing its position as a key industry leader in the digital landscape that offers business transformation solutions, Inivos Consulting Ltd. signed an agreement with D. Samson & Sons Ltd., the main marketing and distribution arm of the DSI Samson Group, to streamline and drive operational excellence through the implementation of IFS Cloud solutions.
D. Samson & Sons has a strong retail, wholesale, and online presence with unmatched distribution and warehousing capabilities complemented by its workforce of over 1,500. The product segments that the company serves include footwear, apparel, socks, tyres, bags, and other accessories. The company caters to multiple locally manufactured brands, including DSI, as well as a number of well-known international brands.
“We’re not just solving today’s problems; we’re building a foundation for the future. With open communication, dedication, and preparation, I am confident we will achieve our goals and transform our company,” said D. Samson & Sons Ltd., Managing Director Thusitha Rajapaksa, during the ceremony announcing the strategic partnership.
General Manager Pradeep Samarathunga stated: “The success of our ERP system depends entirely on our commitment and how we use it as a business enabler. Our collective commitment and implementation are key to turning this system into a tool for achieving meaningful results and maximising value.”
Inivos CEO Asanga Marasinghe said: “Our journey began in 2019 with a small team of five, and today we’ve grown to 180 across three entities, engaging in in-house consulting and working with IFS solutions to extend and configure them as needed. D. Samson & Sons holds special significance for me, both personally and professionally, as it was my first project at IFS. This project is a great responsibility, and I assure you of our commitment to its success. We will work as one team to deliver on D. Samson & Sons management’s expectations and make this a reference site for future prospects.”
Ernst & Young Sri Lanka Principal/Partner Shanaka De Silva, addressing the gathering, detailed the compliance aspect of the agreement and the meticulous process of evaluating the deal prior to D. Samson & Sons selecting Inivos as the most suitable ERP partner for the project.
“We are proud to be part of your success story and look forward to guiding you through to a successful go-live. We have worked hard to ensure you’re choosing the right product and partner for the future. We are now entering the most critical phase, where your commitment is key. ERP is a journey that doesn’t end at go-live; it requires ongoing change management and process rethinking. This is a collaborative effort, and with your support, I’m confident we’ll achieve a world-class solution and celebrate our success together,” said De Silva.
The detailed roadmap of the Inivos and DSS partnership and project introduction was presented by Inivos COO Ayomi Gunawardena and Project Manager Tharindu Kathriarachchi, who outlined timelines and benefits that D. Samson & Sons would gain throughout the project. They also provided a high-level overview of the IFS Cloud solution and the impact that implementation will have on businesses adopting the software.
The partnership between Inivos and DSS kicks off with an ERP Cloud upgrade, introducing some of the most state-of-the-art solutions developed by IFS and used by global enterprises worldwide.
