As part of its holistic diversity and inclusion agenda, Dialog Axiata PLC (Dialog), Sri Lanka’s premier connectivity provider, conducted a series of initiatives focusing on digital entrepreneurship, health and well-being to empower and uplift women to succeed in the new normal.

To champion women in becoming innovators through technology, ‘Tech for Her’, an online webinar and workshop, was conducted covering digital entrepreneurship, digital tools, and growth hacking. Another workshop was conducted in partnership with workout.lk, promoting health and well-being during the pandemic by covering topics such as exercise, sleep and the importance of incorporating vital nutrients for immune regulation.

The company also extended a range of offers, including data giveaways and exclusive discounts at retailers to encourage its female customer base to adopt digital channels. Additionally, Dialog continues to conduct widespread awareness campaigns to help diminish the barriers women face in accessing correct information, as championed by its Yeheli/Thozhi trilingual website and app, which extends free, anonymous and expert-driven advice and counselling on psychology, medicine and law.

Commenting on the initiative, Dialog Axiata PLC Group Chief Customer Officer Sandra De Zoysa said: “As a progressive corporate citizen, we value diversity and inclusion, which are core strengths at Dialog that contribute to our continued success.

“These values are reflected in our efforts to promote equality and ensure women and girls across the island are empowered to participate in shaping the future of this great nation. We will continue to champion women and place them at the forefront of change while facilitating them with the opportunities to reach their full potential.”
