A recent CXO Dinner roundtable in the capital brought together business and technology leaders of the region to discuss how cloud modernisation and GenAI-powered data analytics can unlock new opportunities for business growth.
The roundtable, hosted by award-winning cloud and data transformation enterprise Cloud Kinetics at Hilton Colombo Residency, drew a diverse group of leaders from industries such as banking, finance, telecom, education, technology and consumer products. The sessions focused on the top business challenges organisations face and how technology and a modernised IT infrastructure can help address these.
The keynote address was delivered by cloud ecosystem leader Amazon Web Services (AWS). Drawing on their deep experience as a top-tier cloud hyperscaler, AWS shared the latest industry data and trends and their relevance to the region.
AWS Head Partner and Alliances – India and SAARC Raghavendran Balasubramaniam, Cloud Kinetics Senior Director – Digital Cloud Transformation, India and SAARC Anand V, and Cloud Kinetics Sri Lanka Regional Director Lakshmindra Fernando emphasised the importance of a strong cloud-powered technology foundation for achieving business goals.
Highlighting the need for digital transformation, Fernando said, “CXOs tasked with seizing business opportunities and driving next-level growth in the face of headwinds, whether economic, political, or otherwise, are always on the lookout for sustainable scalable solutions that can drive efficiency and innovation. In a lively Q&A session that followed, Sri Lankan business leaders discussed industry-specific challenges and shared their experiences and insights. The consensus was that digital-led business transformation will be a vital differentiator for Sri Lanka’s leading companies to become more competitive – both regionally and on the world stage.
