ESOFT Metro Campus and Virtusa Corporation ink MoU to build future IT workforce of Sri Lanka

The MoU was signed between ESOFT Group Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Dayan Rajapakse and Virtusa Corporation Head of HR Sampath Thirimavithana and witnessed by ESOFT Metro Campus CEO Nishan Sembacuttiaratchy, Virtusa Corporation Senior Director Misnad Haque, Virtusa Corporation Associate Director Kapila Karunaratna, Virtusa Corporation Architect Chamith Wijesundara, Virtusa Corporation Associate Architect Asela Fernando and Virtusa Corporation Associate Architect Thilana Rajamandiri 


ESOFT Metro Campus entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Virtusa Corporation on 8 November to collaborate in facilitating ESOFT students and developing the next generation of IT workforce of Sri Lanka in technology and innovation.

The partnership with Virtusa Corporation is one of the latest initiatives of the ESOFT Industry Partnership Program, which is designed to optimise synergies among the industry partners and ESOFT in regard to entry-level talent acquisition (internship/training), employer brand building, knowledge sharing, corporate brand building, special projects, incubation/entrepreneurship development and talent acquisition of fresh graduates. 

Therefore, this serves as a bridge to the corporate world and would help to inculcate and develop the best qualities and capabilities of ESOFT undergraduates in becoming tomorrow's professionals to sustain in the cooperate environment and its challenges.

Virtusa Corporation is an American information technology services company founded in 1996 in Sri Lanka and has its headquarters in Southborough, Massachusetts, United States. They provide IT consulting, business consulting, systems implementation and application outsourcing services to large enterprises and software vendors. The company has several delivery centers in India and Sri Lanka with the ones in Hyderabad, Chennai and Colombo being the largest.
