The Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS) has launched a corporate partner program for its members and corporates to collaborate with FITIS, the apex body of ICT Sector in the country. This program would enable partners to position their brand within the ICT sector, access information, opportunity, resources and network with like-minded people.
FITIS Chairman Abbas Kamrudeen said, “FITIS currently has access to a 15,000 member and employee base, and we therefore invite corporates to join this program to enjoy these benefits.”
FITIS was set up in 1996 with the purpose of giving a much-needed focal point for the ICT industry in Sri Lanka. FITIS member chapters include Software Chapter, Hardware Chapter, Education and Training Chapter, Communication Chapter, Office Automation Chapter, Digital Services Chapter and the Professional Chapter. It is thus the apex body of ICT.
FITIS CEO Arun Alwis said, “Over the years FITIS has played a prominent role in the development of ICT and the expansion of Sri Lanka’s innovative capacity with the active support of the Government and private sector institutions. Therefore, FITIS believes that this program would be greatly beneficial for entities that wish to expand, network and share experience and knowledge.”
