Since the first COVID-19 outbreak was informed by WHO on 5 Jan 2020, the technology of Asia has provided significant impetus and a mainstay to the Asian economy and the livelihoods of its consumers worldwide.
Despite the revenue of Asian technology companies contributing to 52% of global growth and 87% of global growth in patent filings over the past decade (McKinsey and Company), a lot remains to be done to strengthen the core capabilities of Asia’s technological transformation. The role of the game changes and will continue to evolve into new avenues as immerging technologies take form.
Federation of IT Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS) steps forward with Asian Oceanian Computing industry Organisation (ASOCIO), a top leading ICT Association representing the Asia pacific, to deliberate and lead the digital facility in Asia in order to achieve its true potential in the region’s technological development.
FITIS, as an apex body of the ICT industry in Sri Lanka, is a key catalyst to encourage the private, public sectors and citizens of Sri Lanka to embrace digitalisation, and to play a leading role in driving the digital transformation in Sri Lanka and support the growth of a digital economy.
FITIS’s initiative with some of the region’s best Computing Industry Organisations (CIOs) will help create increased awareness on how COVID-19 has leapfrogged digital adoption in the region and why they are confident that unprecedented opportunities lie ahead.
