Forttune Channels celebrates 2nd anniversary as a leading distributor of IT hardware

Founded in March 2020 by Gnanam Sellathurai, Forttune Channels is a leading distributor of technology hardware products including computers, laptops, printers, UPS and CCTV products. Forttune distributes brands including Lenovo, CPPlus and other leading brands. 

During the two-year period the company has a channel of over 250 partner resellers throughout Sri Lanka.

Forttune Channels Founder Gnanam Sellathurai has over 22 years’ experience in the IT and technology hardware industry.

A key product which Fortunne Channels markets is Lenovo Desktop PCs and with their expertise in distribution Forttune created a unique space for Idea Centre Desktop PCs in the Sri Lankan market.

Forttune managed to build a strong reseller base to take the product to end-users in a ‘tight’ market dominated by other competitor brands. Lenovo is the world’s No: 1 PC company with over 20% global market share according to Canalys PC Analysis, a leading research organisation. Lenovo has increased their focus on the Sri Lankan market and are providing an exciting range of products. Forttune was recognised for their outstanding achievements and was awarded Best Growth Partner for FY2021 by Lenovo. The award was given for adding value to Lenovo ecosystems and for increasing more business partners to the Lenovo family, by supplying many varieties of Lenovo products to the partner base.

Apart from Lenovo PCs, Forttune also focuses on CPPlus CCTV Solutions; to provide state of the art security camera installations and distribution of CCTV cameras. Another area which Forttune Channels specialises is Uninterruptible Power Supply solutions and installations. With the current power crisis the company is expecting signifi¬cant growth in this segment of its business.
