“Global Tech Meetup: Sri Lanka Edition” will be hosted on Saturday, 1 March 6 p.m. onwards at Hilton Colombo.
The event will be jointly organised by Tech London Advocates (TLA) and Global Tech Advocates (GTA) – Sri Lanka Group and the Asian FinTech Academy (AFTA), in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Chapter of the Colorado, USA-based Global Academy of Finance and Management (GAFM). The Fintech Association of Sri Lanka (FASL) will be a supporting organisation.
Tech London Advocates (TLA) is a network of over 17,000 tech leaders, experts, and investors dedicated to promoting London as a significant global tech hub. The organisation addresses challenges faced by tech companies in the UK and is part of the broader Global Tech Advocates (GTA) network.
Global Tech Advocates (GTA) is an international grassroots tech community that unites the private sector across multiple cities and regions worldwide. With more than 30,000 business leaders, experts, and investors volunteering their time, GTA campaigns for the advancement of the global tech industry. GTA comprises over 42 working group networks in some of the world’s fastest-growing tech cities and regions around the world.
Both TLA and GTA are independent, non-governmental entities focused on fostering collaboration, innovation, and addressing challenges within the tech industry.
AFTA is a Community Partner of the Global Finance and Technology Network (GFTN), an independent organisation established by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
AFTA organised the Asian Digital Finance Forum and Awards in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 2022 and 2023. Since 2022, it has also been a supporting organisation for various fintech summits and festivals across Asia.
AFTA is affiliated with the Colorado, USA-based International Board of Standards (IBS), a certifying body operating in over 40 countries worldwide.
