HUTCH rewards sales staff at annual Hutch Champions Challenge 2019

HUTCH, one of the leading mobile telecommunication providers in the country, concluded the annual HUTCH Champion’s Challenge 2019 awards ceremony at Eagle’s Lakeside, Attidiya recently. The event was held to recognise and celebrate sales personnel who had displayed outstanding feats on the field. 

Over 700 top performing Hutch employees, dealer partners and their staff attended the event from all parts of the island. This was the first grand event after the merger where both Hutch and former Etisalat dealers had come together as one.   

Best performers from each region were selected from each quarter of the financial year. The overall winner in the Best Dealer Sales Representative category was T.L.I.D. Madushanka of ICA Communication in Kurunegala. He was awarded a Yamaha Motor Bike courtesy of Hutch. 

The first runner-up was T. Prasad Jayasekara of Unitel Lanka, Matara, while P.D.N. Aberathna of ICA Communication, Kurunegala, P.G.Y.M. Ranasighe, ICA Communication, Kurunegala and R.P.D.S. Madanga Weerasinghe, ICA Communication, Kurunegala won the second, third and fourth runner-up slots respectively. H.M. Senevirathna of ICA Communications in Kurunegala won the award for Best Dealer – Overall Performance.

With the Hutch network expansion already set in place, the merger services will open up more opportunities for sales personnel to over a wider expanse of the country. Commenting on the event’s proceedings, HUTCH General Manager Sales Manoj Kumar Moses stated: “This year’s HUTCH Champions Challenge can be denoted as a landmark event, setting in motion the ambitious and promising merger approach that HUTCH has stepped into whilst offering our sales team with more challenges to come.
