  • Timely service offerings to ensure continuity of smartphone repairs

Huawei, the innovative smartphone manufacturer, launched the ‘Together 2020 Warm Action’ campaign that commenced on 17 March and continues till 31 May.

Setting up key after sales services and offers such as free warranty extension, free postal repair service and a 20% spare part discount on selected  models, Huawei expects to provide hassle-free smartphone repair services during the ongoing tragic situation.

Prior to this campaign, Huawei also re-launched the Huawei ‘Support App’ which is a one-stop solution for online troubleshooting services on the go through Smart Diagnosis tool backed by many other useful remote services.

A call to action against the prevailing inconveniences, these key services and offers have come at a crucial time to support the end-users who are staying at home without being able to travel to Huawei service centres.

Free warranty extension for smartphones purchased from Huawei official domestic sales channels is an important measure considering that the end-users might not be able to visit customer service centres before the device warranty expires or in the event of a closure of nearby service centres. Huawei announced that devices’ warranties which expire between 17 March and 30 May will be extended till 31 May.

“We have understood the inconveniences faced by our valued customers when it comes to repairing their smartphones. So we have come up with a comprehensive set of solutions covering all aspects of repair services to maintain our service excellence when our customers expect us to stand up for them. The key services and offers we introduced can confront any inconvenience caused and will help to effectively carry out repair services, given the tough situation,” said Country Head of Huawei Devices Sri Lanka Peter Liu.

In a timely initiative, after the lockdown, now end-users can apply for postal repair service through selected collection points available islandwide. Huawei arranges pick up for the device from collection points, repair and after that returns it through courier, free of two-way logistic charges. This comes across as a huge relief for end-users who otherwise need to visit its service centres.

Huawei offers a 20% spare part discount on selected models making way for more and more reliefs if users need to repair out of warranty devices. Under this, users can save money for repairing smartphone issues such as cracked screen or liquid damages and any other major repairs. Huawei encourages everyone to use the postal repair service which is designed particularly to address any inconvenience caused during these days.

Huawei also emphasises the advantages of the Huawei Support App which is capable of troubleshooting minor smartphone issues that do not necessarily require any inspection by Huawei service centres. Its Smart Diagnosis tool detects and automatically fixes software and hardware issues and other minor issues such as screen damages, charging and power consumption, system crashes, camera defaults, app errors, connectivity issues and many more. Users can now have access to the service through Support App > Services > Smart Diagnosis > TEST NOW.

Huawei Support App is also integrated with a live chat service which is designed to provide quick technical support and Huawei Service experts are available all day to assist with any inquiry related to smartphone repairs.
