Hutch Sri Lanka successfully concluded Season 1 of its much-anticipated retailer rewards initiative, Kahawanu Udanaya. This milestone marks a key moment which is dedicated to recognising, uplifting, and celebrating the commitment of its valued retailer network across the country. More than just a celebration, this initiative is a testament to Hutch’s deep-rooted belief in empowering its retail partners by creating meaningful incentives, recognising outstanding performance, and fostering a culture of shared growth. Season 1 concluded with a grand event held at Monarch Imperial on 2 April, and saw record-breaking participation, with nearly 10,000 retailers registering for the program. Hutch continues to lead the way in Sri Lanka with a unique mega rewarding scheme of this nature, further demonstrating its unwavering commitment to retailer success. Retailers from all districts actively engaged with the program, showcasing the strength and unity of Hutch’s expansive nationwide presence.
Designed to incentivise top-tier performance, the program rewards participants based on the digital coins they earn through sales of Hutch products and services. Retailers have the option to either redeem their Kahawanu on a vast array of prizes during the Season 1 or reinvest them for future seasons, providing flexibility and long-term value to their efforts.
The event brought together hundreds of retailers to celebrate their achievements. Among the highlights was a Rs. 1 million cash prize won by a top performer. Additional recognitions included a range of high-value rewards such as gold coins, vouchers for electric appliances, shopping vouchers, reloads, and more. To date, over 3,000 retailers have been rewarded through the Kahawanu Udanaya program reflecting Hutch’s commitment to appreciating and uplifting its retail partners across the country.
