Organised by ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association) Sri Lanka, this prestigious event celebrates the tireless efforts of organisations and individuals who safeguard our interconnected and digitally driven world.
At the helm of this ground-breaking initiative stands ISACA Sri Lanka President Lakmal Embuldeniya. His inaugural address at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2023 echoed with urgency, emphasising the need to recognise and honour those who exemplify excellence in cybersecurity, digital innovation, and the promotion of digital trust.
Lakmal’s impassioned plea resonated deeply within the community, igniting a surge of enthusiasm and unwavering support for the Digital Trust Awards.
Under the astute guidance of ISACA Sri Lanka Vice President Ashane Jayasekara, the wheels were set in motion to turn this visionary concept into reality. As the Chairperson of the Panel of Judges, Ashane embarked on a mission to assemble a distinguished group of experts and thought leaders in the fields of cybersecurity and digital technology. Their collective wisdom and experience would shape the future of digital trust.
Supported by luminaries such as Immediate Past President Mahendiran Prashanthan, Asanka Suraweera, and Nagarajah Nirmalan, Ashane led efforts to ensure that the Digital Trust Awards would establish new standards of excellence and innovation. These luminaries, with their deep-rooted commitment to advancing cybersecurity and digital resilience, played a pivotal role in shaping the awards’ criteria and evaluation process.
The Digital Trust Awards 2024 promise to be a celebration of achievement, a recognition of those who safeguard our digital landscape, and a beacon guiding us toward a more secure and trustworthy future.
“As Sri Lanka embraces this transformative moment, we honour the visionaries, the leaders, and the tireless champions of digital trust. Together, we forge ahead, building a safer and more resilient digital world for generations to come,” a spokesman said.
“The Digital Trust Awards aim to recognise and celebrate excellence in cybersecurity, digital innovation, and the promotion of digital trust. Whether you are a pioneering cybersecurity firm, an innovative tech startup, or an individual making significant contributions to the field, we want to hear from you.”
The award categories include:
n Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of the Year Award: Nominate outstanding CISOs who have demonstrated exceptional leadership in safeguarding digital assets.
n Technology Resilient Company of the Year: Celebrate organisations that have shown remarkable resilience in the face of digital challenges.
n Most Outstanding Cybersecurity Solutions Provider of the Year: Recognise innovative solutions that enhance digital security.
The journey toward the Digital Trust Awards culminates in two landmark events:
Judging Sessions: On Saturday, 2 March industry experts will convene at the One Galle Face Tower to evaluate nominees rigorously. Their discerning eyes will identify the trailblazers who have set new standards in cybersecurity and digital trust.
Awards Night and Gala Dinner: The glittering finale awaits on 21 March, at the Monarch Imperial in Thalawathugoda. Here, luminaries, innovators, and visionaries will gather to celebrate excellence, forge alliances, and chart a course toward a safer digital future.
“Organisations and individuals, the stage is set. As applications officially open for the Digital Trust Awards 2024, seize this opportunity to highlight your achievements, contribute to the advancement of cybersecurity, and be part of a transformative journey. Together, we build resilience, trust, and a brighter digital tomorrow,” the ISACA Sri Lanka
spokesman added.
