The Monarch Imperial in Thalawathugoda will be illuminated tonight with the presence of distinguished guests and leading professionals from various industries, as ISACA Sri Lanka hosts the inaugural Digital Trust Awards Night.
This event marks a significant milestone in recognising and celebrating the achievements of individuals and organisations that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to cybersecurity, digital innovation, and the promotion of digital trust.
The Digital Trust Awards aims to highlight the importance of secure and trustworthy digital practices across industries, emphasising the critical role of cybersecurity and information security in today’s digital era. As we navigate an increasingly complex digital landscape, the need for robust digital trust has never been more pressing. The awards seek to honour those who lead the way in implementing best practices and innovative solutions to safeguard digital assets and ensure the integrity of digital interactions.
ISACA Sri Lanka, a chapter of the globally renowned professional association for IT governance, risk management, and cybersecurity, has meticulously curated this event to bring together the brightest minds and the most influential leaders in the field. The ceremony will showcase a range of award categories, including the coveted CISO of the Year, Technology Resilient Company of the Year, and Most Outstanding Cybersecurity Solutions Provider of the Year.
The night will also feature a keynote address by the State Minister of Technology Kanaka Herath, underscoring the Government’s commitment to fostering a secure digital environment.
Guests of honour include the Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Office, the Secretary to the Ministry of Technology, and the Presidents and Chairpersons of the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL), Federation of IT Services Sri Lanka (FITIS), and SLASSCOM. Also present will be the Presidents of ISC2 Colombo Chapter, Cloud Security Alliance, Defence Cyber Command, as well as CIOs and CEOs of banks and other sectors. This ground-breaking event was an initiative of the incumbent ISACA Sri Lanka President Lakmal Embuldeniya, who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and vision. The judging process is being led by Ashane Jayasekara as the chief judge, ensuring a fair and rigorous evaluation of all applications.
The Digital Trust Awards Night is not just a celebration; it is a call to action for all stakeholders to prioritise and invest in digital trust. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with industry legends, senior leaders from the BFSI sector, telecom, public sector, and other industries, fostering collaborations and sharing insights that drive the digital trust agenda forward.
