• Initiative to address cyber security skills shortage with self-paced eLearning

Meta Defence Labs, an award-winning cyber security expert from the UK, has expanded its training operations in Sri Lanka by partnering with EC-Council, a global leader in cyber security certification programs, to help bridge the cyber security skills gap in the country.

With its Corporate-Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, SHe CISO Exec. boot camp, a global training and mentoring platform in cyber security, leadership and women empowerment, Meta Defence Labs is committed to bridging the skills, diversity, confidence and leadership gaps identified in the cyber security industry. It envisions creating a talent pool of information security savvy leaders that the industry needs to fight ever-evolving cybercrime.

EC-Council has been one of the world’s leading information security certification bodies since the launch of its flagship program, Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH). As part of SHe CISO Exec.’s sustainable development program, Meta Defence Labs has partnered with EC Council to train professionals that require critical training but are unable to commit to traditional classroom style training. 

The ‘iLearn’ online learning platform of EC Council is designed to offer affordable solutions to busy professionals who need cyber security training taught by international industry experts. As part of the package, students will have access to the following:

• One-year access to the E-courseware
• Six months access to EC-Council’s official Online lab environment (I Labs)
• EC-Council certification exam voucher

One-year access to EC-Council’s expert instructor-led training modules with streaming video presentations for an all-inclusive training program that provides the benefits of classroom training at your own pace and time.

• Mentoring and support through SHe CISO Exec. has also been added to students who need help on technical or career advice along with access to the SHe CISO community and events.

Meta Defence Labs (UK and Sri Lanka) Managing Director and SHe CISO Exec. Meta Defence Labs will be offering all of EC-council’s online training and certification programs including the most popular;

• Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator v9 (CHFI), 
• Certified Security Analyst (ECSA), 
• Certified Network Defender (CND). 

EC- Council’s iLearn platform comes with self-paced, video-based training and a range of exercises that you can learn from anywhere, anytime, at your own pace.

In addition to the Sri Lankan partnership, EC Council UK is also providing sponsorship as an education partner for the next SHe CISO Exec. boot camp in London 2019. 

This agreement was finalised by the Meta Defence Labs Founders Chani Simms and Clive Simms and Phillip Blake Country Manager (UK and EU) for EC-Council on 2 March at the Meta Defence Labs London Office.
