The National Institute of Business Management (NIBM) becomes the Platinum Sponsor of Sri Lanka’s largest ICT Conference ‘NITC 2019’ scheduled to be held from 8 to 10 October at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo. NITC 2019, under the theme ‘Embrace Digital’, is organised by the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) for the 37th consecutive year.
NIBM is one of the leading professional institutes belongs to the Ministry of Science, Technology, Research, Skills Development and Vocational Training and Kandyan Heritage and have a legacy of more than 51 years in transforming tens of thousands of Sri Lankan students beyond their expectations and aspirations through their School of Computing, School of Business, School of Design, School of Engineering and Consultancy unit.
Today NIBM enjoys full-fledged university status and awarding many degrees with the collaboration of leading international universities and constantly updating their curriculum to face the global dynamics. The management of NIBM has decided to encourage the digitisation and people who are involved in digitisation by providing clear guidance through such forums at national level.
The CSSL which was established in 1976 is the apex body representing Information and Communications Technology (ICT) professionals in Sri Lanka. The CSSL is also a member of the South East Asia Regional Computer Confederation (SEARCC) and International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP).
The CSSL organises the National Information Technology Conference (NITC) annually, which is the flagship ICT event in Sri Lanka. This event involves key ICT decision makers in private and public sector together to share and discuss latest trends in Information and Communication Technology with over 30 foreign and local prominent speakers and 1,000 plus ICT professionals.
For the 37th consecutive year the CSSL organises NITC, with the timely theme ‘Embrace Digital’ to bring better value proposition for the participants and also to add value to Sri Lanka by attracting more foreign delegates as well as speakers.
