RCS  Founder Ranil Samarawickrema

Resource Connect Services (RCS) last week participated in Future Forward 2024, an esteemed event organised by Austria’s most innovative accelerator, WeXelerate, renowned for driving impactful innovation ecosystems.

This year’s conference, held in Vienna, showcased ground-breaking ideas, technologies, and startups from around the globe, fostering collaboration and innovation.

Future Forward 2024 featured an impressive line-up of speakers, including the President of Austria, the Ambassador of Japan — the country of focus this year — the Country Manager of Mastercard, and the Head of Customer Engineering for Google Cloud. With tickets priced between € 299 and € 599, the event drew an elite audience of industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and visionaries.

RCS was honoured to be selected as one of the few startups featured at the event, complete with a dedicated booth to present its unique mission, products, and services. This recognition is particularly significant as RCS is a young company, just four months old, making its debut on such a prominent stage.

As an Austrian company dedicated to promoting Sri Lankan IT talent, RCS leveraged this platform to highlight the exceptional skills, quality, and experience of Sri Lanka’s IT and software development professionals. The event provided a unique opportunity to shine a spotlight on Sri Lanka’s potential as a hub for outsourcing, innovation, and technology-driven solutions.

RCS Founder Ranil Samarawickrema shared his vision of addressing Sri Lanka’s brain drain by creating opportunities that retain the country’s best talent, while simultaneously driving foreign exchange earnings and fostering economic growth. By bridging the gap between European demand and Sri Lankan expertise, RCS aims to transform the outsourcing landscape and ensure Sri Lanka’s IT sector thrives on a global stage.

At the event RCS showcased Sri Lankan companies such as Just In Time Resources and Consulting Services, Calcey, AFI Group and Meeedly.

“Being featured at Future Forward 2024 was a significant milestone for RCS, reflecting the company’s commitment to promoting Sri Lanka and delivering value to European businesses. The recognition by WeXelerate, in such a short span of time, is a testament to the impact of RCS’s mission and vision,” said Samarawickrema.

“This achievement not only underscores RCS’s dedication but also inspires the team to continue driving success and innovation in future endeavours,” he added.
