SLASSCOM National Ingenuity Awards 2021 receives overwhelming response

• Judging process begins

Sri Lanka Association for Software Services Companies (SLASSCOM), the national chamber for the IT/BPM industry in Sri Lanka, announced that the SLASSCOM National Ingenuity Awards 2021 is fast-forwarding to the judging process after having received a large number of entries. 

The national awards event, which celebrates IT innovation excellence, received a considerable number of entries this year from all over the island, making way for the fruition of both national and regional level awards. 

Breathing new life to the IT/BPM sector, SLASSCOM National Ingenuity Awards 2021 pioneers in grooming innovators to the national level, especially from the grassroots of society via separate regional awards. 

“We have received an overwhelming response in terms of applications from all over Sri Lanka,” said SLASSCOM Entrepreneurship and Innovation Forum Head Priyantha Bethmage. “All awards categories will be strictly evaluated by our judging panel comprising top professionals in the Sri Lankan IT/BPM industry as well as international experts.”

A renowned judging panel consisting of senior industry professionals from both local and overseas will spearhead the judging process in a fully transparent and fair manner online in accordance with the highest standards. Tasked with selecting the best entries, the judges will be using their experience and expertise to look for innovations that demonstrate impactful and unique solutions and stand above the rest.

“To align the evaluation criteria with the overall goal of the SLASSCOM National Ingenuity Awards, a holistic approach considering industry best practices and critical parameters that differ for each theme will be taken by our judges,” said SLASSCOM National Ingenuity Awards Subcommittee Head Chathuranga Manamendra. 

“These criteria will help the participants to understand industry expectations and the panels to provide focused feedback and choose the winning products, processes and concepts.”

The SLASSCOM National Ingenuity Awards 2021 gala event is scheduled to be held on 30 March at Shangri-la Hotel, Colombo, rewarding the winners of the national level competition. 

Awards will be presented for the following categories: Best Product Innovation, Best Client Delivery Innovation, Best Technology or Framework Innovation, Best Innovation in Business Process Management, Best Innovation in Internal Processes, Best Startup, Upcoming Woman Technopreneur of the Year, Best Innovative Product/Project - Universities, Best Innovative Product/Project – Schools.
