SLASSCOM People Summit 2025, the premier HR event in Sri Lanka, is set to take place on 7 February at the Cinnamon Grand Oak Room, bringing together HR professionals, industry leaders, and C-suite executives for a day filled with transformative discussions, expert insights, and interactive breakout sessions.

Organised by the Sri Lanka Association of Software and Service Companies (SLASSCOM), this year’s theme “Engage, Empower, Elevate, The New Playbook” emphasises the need for fresh approaches to thrive in an ever-evolving landscape shaped by technological advancements, shifting workforce dynamics, and global challenges and offers cutting-edge insights from industry leaders, on staying ahead of evolving HR trends and challenges.

Renowned speakers and industry pioneers are set to take the stage, sharing their insights at the summit.

Among the highlights Mahela Jayawardene, former captain of the Sri Lanka cricket team, will deliver a keynote on “Leadership in Transformation,” emphasising the role of transformative leadership in building resilient and high-performing teams. Honorary Consul of Georgia and former Chairman of Hela Clothing Dian Gomes will discuss “The People-Centred Revolution,” showcasing the importance of trust, inclusion, and engagement in creating future-ready organisations. Hexaware Technologies CTO Satyajith M., will delve into the impact of technological advancements and evolving workforce expectations, urging organisations to embrace change for innovation and productivity. IFS Chief Customer Officer Cathie Hall will focus on empowering employees to drive change and adopt agile practices. ICF Colombo Chapter Vice President Azeem Saheer will highlight how active listening builds trust and enhances problem-solving in his session “Listening to understand.” Leadership and Business Coach Ramindu Randeni will address challenges in global expansion, emphasising cultural intelligence and innovative strategies.

One of the key highlights of the event will be the panel discussion “Bridging Strategy and Reality – Blueprint to Breakthrough.” This session ill delve into aligning vision with execution through clear communication of strategy and linking it to operational goals. It will emphasise the importance of establishing accountability and ownership, maintaining flexibility and agility, and building a culture of execution.
