The Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID) in partnership with SLAASCOM tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. on Zoom will host a webinar on ‘Leveraging Technology to Transform Businesses post-COVID’ with Uber Technologies Global Head of Support Operations Lisa Stoner as the Keynote Speaker.

Stoner will speak on the need to transform into new business models in the pandemic business environment, creating, delivering and capturing value to the company, customers and society.

SLID said businesses today have been forced to transform their models to unlock new value in a post-COVID world. Digitalisation is underway in most companies with the rapid adaptation of digital technologies.

Whilst it is imperative to ensure the right IT infrastructure is in place, it is equally important to not overhype the digitalisation of business, striking the right balance between digitising the current business and innovating and transforming for the future.

Her presentation is expected to share best practices and learnings through the Uber experience, bringing extensive value to Sri Lankan companies currently navigating various stages of transformation with varied levels of success.

Joining Stoner on the panel will be Virtusa Executive VP, CIO and General Manager Madu Ratnayake and Hayleys Advantis Ltd. Group Director Asanka Ratnayake speaking on transformation initiatives undertaken within their companies and the evolving state of the Sri Lankan digital landscape.
