Ministry of Technology, under the patronage of President Ranil Wickremesinghe, has planned to hold ‘DIGIECON 2030’ – Sri Lanka Digital Framework 2030, an International Conference and Exhibition, supporting the nation’s acceleration towards an inclusive digital economy.
SLT-MOBITEL as the National ICT Solutions Provider, in collaboration with other stakeholders and the Ministry of Technology, will host DIGIECON 2030 from mid-October 2023 to mid-November 2023, designed to highlight Industry 4.0/5.0 Technologies through a series of events including an international conference, symposiums, and exhibitions.
The main goal of DIGIECON 2030 is to prepare and publish the ‘Sri Lanka Digital Framework’ in addition to providing local industrialists with updates on global high technology, expand Sri Lankan manufacturer’s access to international markets, establish high-tech manufacturing industries in Sri Lanka, attract foreign direct investment opportunities, turn Sri Lanka into a product export hub and service centre, introduce the latest international practices to local industries, network with global industries, facilitate the transfer of technical knowledge and leapfrog into Industry 4.0 and beyond thereby accelerating towards an Inclusive Digital Economy.
The launch event was held recently under the patronage of President Ranil Wickremesinghe with the participation of the High Commissioners, Ambassadors, Cabinet of Ministers, Secretaries, Senior Government Officers, Industry leaders, Development Agencies, Local and International business representatives, Academics and Researchers, Investors, Entrepreneurs and the Media.
