UTECH Technologies Ltd., Sri Lanka’s leading Industrial IoT (Internet of Things) and Industrial Automation Solutions provider, has entered overseas markets with their flagship telematic device, ‘The UTECH BLACKBOX’.
UTECH’s strong and diverse team of R&D engineers, led by Managing Director Riyad Ismail, developed the UTECH BLACKBOX eco-system, which includes hardware, firmware and software, which provide customers a secure end-to-end solution which is customisable to meet their specific needs. The UTECH BLACKBOX is a universal telematics gateway used in a wide range of industrial equipment such as production machinery, power generators, construction machinery, air compressors, UPS systems, chillers, commercial vehicles, etc.
A unique feature of the UTECH BLACKBOX is that it can seamlessly integrate into machinery across a wide range of connection protocols. Various sensors can be integrated into the system to obtain additional parameters. Monitoring and control of machines are possible via the UTECH Remote Web Portal from anywhere in the world. The web portal enables real-time dashboards, data-logging and graphing, routine service scheduling, GPS, geo-fencing and SMS/email alerts.
Such features offer customers the peace-of-mind that their industrial machines are functioning optimally, where machines monitor themselves and report their state of health via SMS and email and corrective action can be initiated before a major failure occurs saving time and money. In a short span of time, UTECH has secured a strong client base of Conglomerates in Sri Lanka across diverse industrial and service sectors.
UTECH Managing Director Riyad Ismail commented, “We are proud to secure export orders to India and the Americas after having done extensive field trials in harsh environments in those regions. We see this as the beginning of Sri Lanka’s presence in the global IIoT (Industrial IoT) marketplace for an end to end solution and strive to expand into other global markets while keeping to our core values of continuous innovation, use of cutting edge technology and offering superior customer service.”
In 2019, the UTECH BLACKBOX was presented a national award at the NBQSA awards that year. UTECH also has a strategic alliance with Sri Lanka’s national mobile service provider – Mobitel, to deploy UTECH’s solutions through Mobitel’s vast corporate customer base. Additionally, UTECH’s portfolio of products includes cold-chain monitoring systems, smart agriculture, vehicle tracking, access control systems and other customised factory automation solutions.
