WNS has, yet again, been recognised among the Top 20 Export Corporate Brands in Sri Lanka by Brand Finance, the world’s leading independent branded business valuation and strategy consultancy. This is the second consecutive year WNS has secured a top spot (11th overall).

The ranking, published in the recently released ‘Brands Annual 2020 edition’, was awarded based on a Brand Strength Index. The Index assesses the impact of various factors such as marketing investment, brand equity (goodwill accumulated with customers, staff and other stakeholders) and their impact on business. Such recognition bears testament to the significant contribution WNS has made, as a market leader and the largest BPM company in Sri Lanka, to the export economy of the country, amounting to over $ 10 million year-on-year.

“It is also important to note that the brand analysis was completed pre-COVID-19 and did not include the impact of the virus on brand performance. However, we have demonstrated tremendous resilience and fast-tracked a customised Work-from-Home (WFH) framework to ensure uninterrupted service delivery during these unprecedented times. All this was done while ensuring the safety of our employees and minimising potential exposure to COVID-19, thereby retaining operational robustness. We believe that our successful approach in re-establishing a BAU work environment in the face of a global crisis will contribute to a more positive ranking for WNS in the years to come.”

As a global BPM industry leader, with over 15 years of service excellence, WNS was one of the frontrunners to invest in the Sri Lankan BPM industry which has experienced unparalleled growth over the last decade. It is expected to grow further and make a significant contribution to the Sri Lankan economy in the years to come with WNS being a significant contributor.

In addition to securing a top brand ranking, WNS has also gained recognition as one of Sri Lanka’s ‘Healthiest Workplaces’ in another recent survey conducted by AIA Vitality. WNS was adjudged runner up for the following three awards: ‘Sri Lanka’s Healthiest Employees 2019’ ‘Sri Lanka’s Healthiest Employer 2019’ and ‘New Entrant 2019’ in the ‘Medium Company’ category. This is the first time that WNS has participated in this survey along with 47 other organisations.

Speaking on these achievements, WNS Sri Lanka Managing Director Dinesh Wickremanayake said, “The dedicated WNS Sri Lanka team is the reason for all the accolades that we have been recognised with. We are proud of our team’s efforts towards ensuring uninterrupted delivery to customers, even during these trying times. At WNS, we are geared towards making work environments safer and conducive for employees to contribute their best without compromising on health – both physical and mental, maintain work-life balance and constantly co-create value.”

Today, WNS Sri Lanka employs close to 800 professionals providing Finance and Accounting Outsourcing (FAO) services, consulting, professional and legal services, and services leading global organisations and industry verticals.

As the largest BPM service provider in Sri Lanka, WNS continues to create new job opportunities within the island, showcasing Sri Lankan capabilities to the world. For such efforts, WNS Sri Lanka has been recognised as one of the Top 10 Employers in Sri Lanka in the Finance and Accounting (F&A) talent space. The company is also closely affiliated with F&A certification bodies such as CIMA (Platinum Partnership), imparting professional expertise required to obtain F&A certifications.

“WNS is excited for the future, and post COVID-19, we are determined like never before to help our clients ride out the current storm. We are also excited at the prospect of offering new solutions leveraging Six Sigma, RPA, automation technology and access to first world infrastructure in Sri Lanka.”
