A new experience for Etisalat Lanka sub dealers

  • Telco giant’s Sub Dealer Conventions bring positive results
Etisalat Lanka, the local arm of the global telecommunications giant, is making history by becoming the first mobile telecommunication company in Sri Lanka to conduct Sub Dealer Conventions on a regional basis spread across several main districts of the country. The company held its latest series of Sub Dealer Conventions in the Kandy District. Sub Dealer Conventions have already been conducted for the Gampaha, Ratnapura, Kurunegala, Matale, Galle and Matara Districts. Similar events for other regions will be held in different districts across the island, within the next week covering districts such as Colombo, Puttalam, Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa. The Sub Dealer Conventions are day-long events that include a host of interactive activities. The conventions are a platform for sub dealers to network with others within their particular region. They are also given the opportunity to provide valuable feedback to the company about their customers, voice their opinions about the company, products, services and the market dynamics and also share their day-to-day customer experiences and interactions with the audience. Etisalat Sri Lanka also uses these conventions as a way of educating the sub dealers about the innovative products and services offered while also communicating to them about the future direction of the company and the various plans they have in store for their customers. Speaking about this new approach to communicating with their Sub Dealer Partners, Etisalat Lanka Senior Manager (Dealer Sales and Services) Parakrama Wijerathne stated: “Sub dealers are one of our key partners in bringing the most innovative communication technologies to our valued customers. It is therefore very important that we recognise their contribution and reward their excellent achievements of the previous year.” He added that the sub dealer network offered valuable insights into the needs of the customers, adding: “This information is vital to us because we can use this to continue to create even better products and services for our customer base.” He further added that these events help to build the relationship between the company and their sub dealer partners leading to better communication and performances by all parties concerned. Etisalat Sri Lanka’s sub dealer network is spread across all 25 districts of the island and come under a group of 23 main dealers who are based in key cities. The Sub Dealer Conventions of 2013, which are held under the theme ‘Together We Are Strong’, recognise the previous year’s achievements of the sub dealers. Awards are given out for outstanding ‘Regional Performance’ and ‘Sub Territory Performance’ based on the gross sales and revenue generated for the 12 month period from 1 April 2012 to 31 March 2013.
