Bharti Airtel Lanka, a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, the world’s third largest mobile operator in terms of subscribers, recently partnered with ‘mCash’ the National Mobile Service Provider SLT Mobitel’s mobile money platform, to further extend its distribution network by enabling Airtel users to settle their Post-Paid mobile bills and purchase top-ups in a cost-efficient and hassle-free manner through the mCash mobile money network.
The launch of this new service will offer all Airtel Lanka customers the rewarding opportunity to make Pre-Paid top-ups and pay their respective Post-Paid voice and data bills via the mCash network which now extends to more than 12,000 + outlets across Sri Lanka. As a result Airtel Lanka’s distribution network will now increase to over 60,000 outlets facilitating customer accessibility to Airtel services across the Island.
Airtel customers using the mCash facility, could now settle their Post-Paid bill payments and buy Pre-Paid top-ups via the mCash network by visiting any Mobitel branch, SLT Teleshops, Singer Mega or any of the mCash retailer outlets around the country. mCash has further extended its services to customers who do not utilise mCash, in order to offer convenience of using the same infrastructure.
Having experienced rapid growth over the years with a growing clientele, mCash has enabled its users to maintain a mobile money account to experience a whole new convenient method of carrying out monetary transactions. Licensed under the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, mCash provides a full range of services that include deposits, withdrawals, money transfers, paying utility bills, insurance premiums and leasing payments, settling payments to government departments, making charitable donations and the purchase of goods and services.
