Avian Technologies launches Kaspersky Retail Version 2013

At a gala ceremony held at Waters Edge, Kaspersky Lab launched its new consumer products – Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 Premium Security Suite and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 Essential Protection Solution under the theme ‘safeguarding me’ with Kaspersky Lab Asia-Pacific Managing Director Harry Cheung and Kaspersky Lab CEO and co-founder Eugene Kaspersky.

The new versions of both products produce an easy to use interface with many newly developed technologies that covers many areas in protection. Kaspersky Lab uses an award winning anti-virus technology, among other protections such as anti-spam protection, anti-phishing protection, anti-theft protection system watch and the parental lock.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 includes a unique new feature called Safe Money technology that protects the user’s money at all costs when banking or shopping online.  Another exclusive feature is the Automatic Exploit Prevention technology that targets threats that use software vulnerabilities.

Cheung acknowledged, “Kaspersky Lab anti-virus guard has been No.1 in Sri Lanka for the last four years. We want to provide the best product for Avian Technologies to our customers and our partners.”

The sole distributor for Kaspersky products since 2007, Avian Technologies Pvt Ltd., took great pride as they have been the leader in both retail and corporate versions in Sri Lanka and Maldives for the last three years. Apart from the launch of the new Kaspersky products, this event also recognized the companies who have contributed towards Kaspersky Lab by committing to them fully. Stylee Computers (Pvt) Ltd emerged as the biggest winner of the night at the Kaspersky Retail Partner Awards 2011-2012 bagging three awards for Special Award for Loyalty & Commitment for Kaspersky, Best Outstation Partner and the bronze award for Best Retail Partner. Computer Depot won themselves two awards for Most Dynamic Partner and a gold award for Best Retail Partner. The silver award for the Best Retail Partner went to Barclays Computers (Pvt) Ltd.

Other recipients of the awards were Richard Peiris Distributors Ltd., for Best Coverage Partner, Sri Lanka State Trading (Gen) Corporation Ltd., for Product Challengers Award, Extreme Computer Technologies (Pvt) Ltd., for Best partner for Kaspersky promotions and Dialog Telekom PLC for Best Value Added partner.

The Gold award for the Best Display of Kaspersky Products went to GUI Technologies (Pvt) Ltd., while the silver award went to Wifi Zone and the bronze to Data E Net Computer Systems (Pvt) Ltd.

Kaspersky also awarded lavish gifts to the winners and the runner-ups of the Kaspersky Cyber Army promotion that took place on Facebook. The runner-ups, Rangana Herath and Ihalage Silva each won themselves a Samsung Galaxy Tab while the winners, Lanidu Sachitha, Chathura Keshan, Maha Krishoban, and Lumila Arabewela won themselves a Samsung Galaxy S3 each.

Kaspersky concluded: “We hope for a safe and secure cyberspace in Sri Lanka and everywhere in the globe.”
