Bileeta, a company with an award-winning Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution, hosted customers to a B2C event focusing on the company’s product portfolio and unique offering. The event kicked off with CEO Sanji de Silva addressing the guests on the importance of deploying an efficient, reliable and scalable ERP solution to benefit from Return On Investment.
Elaborating on De Silva’s theory, Mafaz Ishaq, Director of Calamander Capital, a venture equity firm moderated a panel discussion featuring Managing Director of JAT Holdings Aelian Gunawardene, CTO Bileeta Sanka Weerasinghe, and Sanji De Silva.
“I was blown by the complexity of Bileeta’s Entution solution and the abilities built into it,” said Mafaz. “This solution is so well integrated with such simple automation to suit all real-time environments.”
Entution has an advantage due to the advanced features that it provides at a competitive price. These verticals are also localised to meet the Sri Lankan business practices. At the same time, companies do not have to lose their uniqueness after implementing Entution and due to the broad range of functional areas in the solution, companies can rely on one service provider for their complete requirement.
During the forum Mafaz asked Gunawardene why his company selected Bileeta over other competitors in the market. “While we had received several complex and extremely expensive solutions to perform our requirements, Bileeta offered us a less complicated, scalable solution on which we were able to transfer our existing ERP in a seamless switch,” he said. He explained that after more than a decade his company had grown to 400 employees and it was time to change. “Today, I have access to daily sales records, stocks, returns and gross profits on my phone’s dashboard that I can access wherever in the world I am and at whatever time I need to,” he averred.
Sanka Weerasinghe said that his team at Bileeta took on the challenge of implementing an ERP for JAT Holdings despite the numerous verticals within the company’s structure. “We had to consider remote locations, numerous factories and showrooms and ensure that real time information was accurate and easily accessible, in addition to ensuring an extremely secure platform,” he stressed. The product was delivered on time.
Envisaging on the future for Bileeta, De Silva said the company plans to open an office in Bangladesh with the intention of tapping the vast possibilities there. “We are also looking at an automated procurement process and advanced business processes as well as more comprehensive mobile phone dashboard access that will give our clients more adaptability and accuracy,” he said.
This year, Bileeta celebrated seven years, having won numerous awards, both locally and internationally. In 2014 Bileeta was recognised as the Overall Winner with a Gold award at NBQSA for Entution. An award at the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards brought international fame which has now given the company leverage to take the product overseas. In the same year, CTO, Sanka Weerasinghe, was awarded the People’s Leader in IT award for his contribution towards people management practices.
