BoardPAC, the Sri Lanka-developed world-leading mobile portal that facilitates paper-less decision making at board level, was showcased in Hong Kong recently at the 17th Annual Corporate and Regulatory Update (ACRU) Conference.
BoardPAC was the sole Sri Lankan firm at this year’s ACRU conference, attended by more than 1,600 governance, risk and compliance professionals from different sectors, as well as C-suite level members. The conference, held at the prestigious Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, was organised by the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS), to enable attendees gain first-hand knowledge of the latest corporate and regulatory developments.
“ACRU provides a unique platform for regulators and practitioners to discuss key issues and the latest developments in corporate governance, including the latest technology that can support the needs of board members and administrators,” said BoardPAC CEO Lakmini Wijesundera. “We were delighted to be part of the conference, as it enabled us to better understand the industry’s challenges. These key learnings will help us to meet the digital governance needs of our clients better.”
“The corporate governance field recognises the need to go digital to keep up with the fast pace of business. BoardPAC, with its strong credentials and technical expertise, has effectively demonstrated the value of using its proprietary secure board solution,” said BoardPAC Chief Operating Officer Rajitha Kuruppumulle.
The BoardPAC portal enables members of a board to use an iPad to instantly access sensitive board documents, including minutes, agenda, financial statements, and archived information provided by company secretaries and other administrators.
A National Best Quality Software Gold award and Green IT award winner, BoardPAC provides users the ability to view and approve papers from the ease of a Board Member’s iPad. It has a host of features such as collaboration, meeting management and RSVP, the ability to search and refer to past board papers, as well as to annotate and approve documents and update agendas. The solution meets with the highest security standards including the ISO 27001 certification.
The solution is already the leader for board meeting automation in Sri Lanka and in Malaysia and is emerging as a strong player in many Asia Pacific markets including Hong Kong.
