Board of Investment of Sri Lanka Chairman Upul Jayasuriya spoke at the APICTA Business Forum held at the Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo. Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) is an International Association which comprises of national ICT organisations from several countries in the Asia   Pacific Region.  

Presently, 17 countries including Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore are members of APICTA and working together  for  building and enhancing a mutually cooperative network to promote ICT, developing technology innovations, capability and adaption, and encouraging the development of indigenous ICT solutions for the global market. 

Since 2001, APICTA has been organising a competition and awards ceremony to identify and recognise ICT innovations in a selected country. Sri Lanka has been selected to host APICTA Competition for the year 2015.   

BOI Executive Director (Investment and Promotion) Renuka Weerakone, Microsoft Sri Lanka Ltd. (a subsidiary of Microsoft Corporation) Country Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives Brian Kealey and Copal Amba (a Moody’s subsidiary) CFA/Director/Country Head Sri Lanka Chanakya Dissanayake also spoke at the Business Forum organised by the BOI.
