CICRA urges network administrators to improve their security skills

The need for information security is now becoming a day-to-day topic in the present context of corporate world all over the world. It is obvious that there is no one-time solution to this immense challenge otherwise being alive, attentive and reactive. Strengthening of skills of network administrators and other IT staff is considered the best way forward.

“Key aspect of information security is the protection of your network against any attack,” says Boshan Dayaratne, CEO/ Director, CICRA Consultancies Ltd.

“CICRA correctly understanding future challenges, introduced E|NSA, the EC-Council Network Security Administrator training program in 2014, specifically to enhance both theoretical and practical knowledge of network administrators. The next intake of E|NSA commences on 21 November,”said Dayaratne.

He said that the key areasthe participants will learn from ENSA training are intrusion detection and intrusion prevention systems, log analysis, patch management, virtual private networks and remote networking, creating fault tolerance, incident response, disaster recovery and planning, and network vulnerability assessment.

“Students will also learn how to evaluate network and Internet security issues and design, and how to implement successful security policies and firewall strategies. In addition, they will learn how to expose system and network vulnerabilities and defend against them,” he said. 

ENSA training is different from CICRA’s flagship training program Certified Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures (C|EH).

“ENSA certification looks at the network security in defensive view while the CEH certification program looks at the security in offensive mode,” added Dayaratne.
