Dell appoints Lackshmindra as new Country Manager for Sri Lanka

Dell yesterday announced the appointment of Lackshmindra Colin Fernando as Country Manager for Dell in Sri Lanka. In his new role, Lackshmindra will be responsible for developing and delivering new business for customers in public and private sectors.



“We have seen a shift in the way technology and data access is consumed. It is no longer about the device or technology; it’s about the overall experience of enabling users to do more. In order to ensure that we’re at the forefront of the industry, Dell is transitioning from a PC company to a provider of end-to-end solutions and services,” said Harjeet Singh Rekhi, Dell’s General Manager for the South Asia Developing Markets Group.

“With Lackshmindra’s expertise and proven track record, we are confident that we will be able to help our Sri Lankan customers drive business outcomes and create competitive advantage through innovative and practical solutions,” he added.  

Lackshmindra is an IT veteran with 20 years of experience ranging from channel management and marketing, sales enablement, retail sales and product marketing. He has worked with Government ICT policymakers and contributed significantly towards the nation’s ICT initiatives which focus on technology adoption and bridging the digital divide.  Prior to joining Dell, Lackshmindra was a Country Manager, Personal Systems Group at Hewlett-Packard Lanka Ltd. and later served as the Regional Business Head, Retail Business, Asia Emerging Countries for Hewlett-Packard.
