Dell EMC has announced the next level of leadership for Asia Emerging Markets (AEM) and APJ New Business.
Roshan Nugawela has been appointed Country Manager for the recently established Dell EMC organisation, both in Sri Lanka and Maldives. In this role, Roshan will be responsible for the overall business of Dell EMC in the two markets.
The appointment comes on the back of the completion of Dell’s acquisition of EMC Corporation in September last year, creating Dell Technologies: the world’s largest privately-controlled technology company with the industry’s most comprehensive and innovative portfolio from the edge to the core to the cloud. Dell Technologies is a unique family of businesses that provides the essential infrastructure for organisations to build their digital future, transform IT and protect their most important asset, information. Dell EMC, a part of Dell Technologies family of businesses, enables enterprise customers to modernise, automate and transform their data centre using industry-leading converged infrastructure, servers, storage and data protection technologies.
It is a top priority for Dell EMC to ensure the continuity of excellent service to customers and partners. By bringing both companies together, Dell EMC has become an even more strategic IT partner that will help customers in the region build their digital future, transform IT and protect their most important asset – information.
“We have had a very seamless transition here in Sri Lanka and Maldives, thanks to the direction and support provided by the global and regional teams of Dell EMC,” said Roshan Nugawela.”We are stronger than ever and are excited to go out and help to make the Digital Transformation a reality for both large scale as well as small and medium enterprises.”
Roshan has been heading the Dell operation in Sri Lanka and Maldives as country manager since 2015. Prior to that, he was spearheading commercial and consumer distribution for both Sri Lanka and Maldives. He has also served in leadership roles at both multinationals and local organisations within the IT industry.
