Dialog Television launches pay-per-day prepaid TV service

Dialog Television, Sri Lanka’s leading direct-to-home digital satellite TV, recently announced the launch of Sri Lanka’s first-ever prepaid television service. The revolutionary pay-as-you-watch TV service from Dialog enables subscribers to select channel genres or individual channels and pay for them on a per-day basis.

With channel genres starting from as low as Rs. 3 per day, the prepaid service from Dialog is expected to bring best in class pay television content within reach of a wide spectrum of Sri Lankan households. Dialog TV provides Sri Lankan homes from across the country with a selection of over 70 channels spanning best in class local and international content.

Subscribers have the option of adding channels to their basic package (starting at Rs. 3 for 18 channels) from as low as Rs. 2 per channel. Alternatively subscribers could benefit from a range of value package offers featuring a Rs. 6 per day option for 22 channels, a Rs. 9 per day option for 30 channels and 74 channel ‘watch-all’ package for Rs. 100 per day or Rs 500 per week.

Topping up (reloading) a Dialog TV connection has been made simple and convenient with subscribers being able to reload at over 60,000 service points across Sri Lanka or by using a Dialog recharge card via any mobile phone using SMS or IVR. Dialog’s Sri Lankan content portfolio spans education (Revision TV and Learn TV), Box Office movies (Ridhee TV), music (Channel C), religion, culture and heritage (Buddhist TV and HTV) and a majority of Sri Lankan TV stations.

Dialog also broadcasts 70 international channels featuring world-renowned news, movie, action, sports and edutainment channels. All subscribers signing up for a Dialog Per-Day TV service before 31 December 2012 will be afforded the opportunity of viewing all channels for one week at no additional charge.

Subscribing for the per-day TV prepaid service option has been made simple and convenient with subscribers now being able to procure a connection (consisting of a set-top box, SIM card, dish and installation kit) from any Dialog service centre or Singer Sri Lanka outlets for an all-inclusive price of Rs. 9,990. Subscribers can self-install the connection with the aid of the installation manual or seek the support of installation services from Dialog or a wide range of authorised partners.
