The exhilarating experience of virtual reality has now got a Sri Lankan flavour as Dialog introduces the first virtual reality application for Sri Lanka, featuring historical locations, edutainment and local entertainment.
Dialog’s Virtual Reality Platform is the first platform in the island to integrate 360° pictures, videos, games and advertisements, while it is billed to develop a crowd-sourced VR data driven platform allowing users to create and upload their own VR Content.
This revolutionary application introduced by Dialog Axiata will take businesses and consumer experience in Sri Lanka to the next level as by simply slipping on the ocular device, users can travel and experience the many facets of Sri Lanka or plunge themselves into a movie or videogame without even leaving the couch. Dialog’s Virtual Reality Platform is easy to use, revolutionary and cost-effective enabling all Sri Lankans to avail of this experience. Crowd sourced moderated content hosted through the Dialog VR Content Management System can be shared by other service providers through the Mobile Internet Fulfillment Exchange (MIFE) Application Program Interface (API) developed by Axiata Digital Services.
The mobile app will consist of registration and login options, trending 360° games, pictures and video content and will even give users the option to enter an experience with a friend or many who are logged on in real-time via the Dialog VR platform. Experience the phenomenon of virtual reality for the first time in Sri Lanka through the mobile app available, which can be downloaded via the Google Play store by Android users and will also be available on iOS devices soon.
